unanswered prayers

I am so happy to be writing a series on perseverance with my sweet friends, Mary Geisen, Debbie Kitterman, and Patti Krank. We have become fast friends in the last couple of years…traveling together, doing a podcast together, and more. I can tell you these girls know a whole lot about perseverance!

This is the third post in the series and it is written by Patti Krank. You can find the other posts here.

When Prayers Remain Unanswered

I don’t know about you, but I’ve struggled with unanswered prayer all my life. I have prayers that I have been praying for a long time that haven’t seen an answer yet. And honestly, it’s hard not to take it personally some days! But here are some words of encouragement from my friend, Patti Krank,

God has His eye on the situation and He knows the best answer in the right time.  Sometimes a delay is in God’s plan.  In fact, some answers may even come beyond our limited lifetimes.

That’s hard to remember many times, isn’t it?

In Part 3 of our series on Perseverance, Patti talks about how she has handled unanswered prayers and gives us some great steps for hanging in there while we are still praying. Click HERE to read her post.

One of my favorite parts of her post was this tweet:

Isn’t that about the truest thing you’ve ever read? The testimony today is that when we keep our eyes on God, we are able to keep from focusing on the pain…the hurt…the longing…the unanswered prayers.

I know that’s where my focus belongs. How about you?
