There is an awful lot going on with many people that I know. Losing loved ones, serious accidents, dreaded illness. It seems like life can be a roller coaster ride of surgeries, health concerns, family difficulties, national and world events, and more. It’s exhausting.

At times like this, Satan can be relentless. These are the opportune moments for him to come at us again and again and again. And it is hard to not grow faint or become weary or get distracted or discouraged. But we are determined to trust in the Lord. We know that He is our refuge and that He is the strong tower that protects us.

From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe.

I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.

Psalm 61:2-4

As I see God at work in the people I know and in churches across the country and around the world, I believe that Satan is running scared. Like any coward he is throwing his darts at us and our loved ones. He is going to wear himself out trying to get us to stop our personal growth or our outreach efforts…or to at least give it a half-hearted effort.

The testimony is that’s not going to happen. Satan may be determined but we are more so. Satan may think he has on the ropes but we are just getting our second wind. We will not give up. We will do the work that God has provided for us to do regardless of the consequences.

We will not be defeated!

Join the Testimony Tuesday community! We are sharing our stories of how much God has done for us.
