Well, it’s the first of June. The thought that we might have a slight break in the action before summer swings into full gear was evidently a pipe dream. April and May went by so fast that it was almost a blur…except the extra hours and on-call situations kept reminding me! The rising anxiety level didn’t help either.
And in the middle of it, I’ve looked up and found myself feeling more than a little lost. How do you spell burned out?
Isn’t that what often happens? We think we are tooling down life’s highway just fine and then we take a look around and don’t recognize any of the landscape.
So I know what I have to do. Go back to the road map. The path that has been laid out for us, as long as we are willing to follow it.
Here’s how I feel God is calling me to do just that…
I hope you’ll join me on this journey! Start by reading Mark 1 and come back by next Monday and we’ll dive on in.

Thanks for creating community here with us! The Big Red Sofa Series is about the things I see in life that make me go hmmmm. What God teaches me in scripture. The ordinary things that God can use to drive home spiritual lessons. The questions I sometimes ask. The stories we can all share. So pull up a cushion and join me on the sofa. I’d love to hear from you!

I’m right there with you Holly. In this current journey over the last 2.5 years, I think I’m stalled! I need Him to show me the way and I want it now. I’m learning all over again to WAIT! Wait on Him! Thank You for your blog and I’ll pray for your journey as I know that you’ll pray for mine.
Love ya,
Rhonda
You are in my prayers too, Rhonda! It’s tough when life throws us curves, isn’t it? But I know that connection with him is the only answer. So happy for you guys and your new little one!! Aren’t grands the best? And glad we got to share welcoming a new life in the same week!! Love and miss you much!
Hi Holly! I am missing you so much in small group, but I know you where you are needed (and loving it!). I so appreciate your transparency, I can truly identify with yoour topic. This has been such a year of change for me, and I feel sometimes like I am blindly feeling my way through. The only thing I am certain of and is unchanging, is the Word and my salvation, so that’s where I am turning. Lots of personal stuff to share later when you get home. I am praying for you. Love you bunches!
Oh yeah, feeling the way blindly sums it up perfectly! Glad to know that I’m not alone in this journey and appreciate your honesty too. I can’t wait to see you when I’m back on the mountain and we get a chance to catch up. Love you too!
Buckling my seat belt and joining you “on the road.” Great video, Holly, you’re becoming a pro in front of the camera! xo

Thanks, Susan!! So glad you are joining in. I appreciate your kind words…and look forward to your insight on Jesus’ words.
There will be times like this and the best thing to do is immerse yourself in the Word. You are doing the right thing and pray as you study. God will show you the way He wants you to go, and He never lets go! You continue in my prayers. I love you! God bless you and your family.
Thanks, Charles! Love you too and appreciate the prayers!
Holly, I watched the video last night and didn’t have time to comment, but I’m glad for your new series! I’m kind of feeling my way blindly along an uncertain journey too! Getting ready for a big move in two months, so it’s comforting to know I’m on the road with Jesus.
I’ll read Mark 1 and be ready for next week! (And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that “On the Road with Jesus” graphic with your picture!” Just perfect! Enjoy those grandbabies, especially the new one!

Oh Betsy, can’t wait to hear more about your big move! It’s so interesting how any change or stress can kinda knock us off our game…even good stress can do it too. So glad to have you on this journey and always appreciate your encouragement. Glad you love the graphic too…I was pretty pleased with how it turned out! xoxo
I have missed you. Sorry I get by for a visit so infrequently these days. Hope you are doing well, friend. xoxo

I have missed you too and think of you almost every day! Love seeing your FB posts but like you, I don’t have much time to comment these days. My schedule and boundaries and balance are so seriously out of whack that it’s not even funny. But I’m working on it starting this week and hopefully God will help me restore the sanity soon. I love you and hope you are doing well. xoxo
You know Holly in this season I’ve been feeling in a dry and rough desert. So many questions in my head, things going on around me and my life. That makes me think I need take a break and focus on Jesus. This series will be great! Thanks for sharing and encouraging with that video. I hope you are enjoying with your family. Every time I see your video, makes me want to meet you in person and have chat and a cup of coffee. Blessings Holly!
Hugs,
Tayrina

Oh, you are that person I keep seeing next to me in this desert! Ha! So glad I’m not out here alone. Hope you will enjoy the series and that it encourages you to keep moving through the desert and on to the oasis. I already feel some movement in my soul and am looking forward to the rest of what we will learn with Jesus. Much love to you!
Agak susah sih menyamakannya. Soalnya tes penerjemah tersumpah tingkatnya regional.
