Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. James 1:2-4 MSG
“Jesus knows how we feel but His work can only take hold when we recognize how we feel.” – Rhonda Gould
“What if we lived bravely in our lamentation. In the darkness. Bless him. In the darkness..encourage others, in the darkness let our tears flow as a cleansing river of hope. Seasons of sorrow birth wisdom…if we pay attention. Lamentation could be the long season of grace before the glory of redemption.” – Lisha Epperson

Thanks for creating community here with us! The Big Red Sofa Series is about the things I see in life that make me go hmmmm. What God teaches me in scripture. The ordinary things that God can use to drive home spiritual lessons. The questions I sometimes ask. The stories we can all share. So pull up a cushion and join me on the sofa. I’d love to hear from you!
